About the Role
We are seeking a Cyber Security Research Consultant to support critical cybersecurity initiatives and research efforts. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze security challenges, contribute to strategic research projects, and help drive solutions that strengthen enterprise security capabilities. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in cybersecurity research, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively within complex environments.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct cybersecurity research and analysis to support enterprise security initiatives.
  • Contribute to moderately complex cybersecurity projects and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and security requirements.
  • Evaluate security threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks by analyzing a variety of data sources and factors.
  • Partner with stakeholders and technical teams to identify, assess, and resolve cybersecurity challenges.
  • Support large-scale planning efforts related to cybersecurity research programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Apply knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Provide recommendations and insights to improve security posture and mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate with internal clients and cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in Cyber Security Research or a related cybersecurity discipline.
  • Experience conducting research, analysis, and assessment of cybersecurity risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex information and identify effective solutions.
  • Experience working collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level cybersecurity programs or initiatives.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in consulting, military service, cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, or related fields.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to diverse audiences.
