Spatial Business Systems (SBS) is seeking an SDS Project Delivery Manager with a proven ability to deliver technology and data solutions that solve complex business challenges while meeting client objectives. About the Role

As an SDS Project Delivery Manager at SBS, you’ll spearhead the delivery of Software Implementations (AutoCAD based Design & similar product applications) solutions primarily for Utility, telecommunications, and government clients, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction. You’ll manage multiple medium-to-large projects, lead cross-functional teams, and build strong client relationships. This role offers the opportunity to grow into broader leadership responsibilities within the SDS PM organization as you demonstrate project execution excellence and mentoring / leading other PM resources to drive organizational excellence.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Lead the development and delivery of Substation Implementation solutions across various technologies, including system integrations, implementations, data management, and IT strategy.

Manage all aspects of project delivery throughout the project lifecycle, including support for effort estimation, Solution Architecture, requirements gathering (Design, developing, testing, risk management, change control, and overall delivery success.

Act as the central point of contact between business and technical teams, leading multiple work streams to execute against project plans.

Manage and monitor project schedules, costs, and teams to ensure results are delivered on time and within budget and reported within the internal organization.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, proactively managing expectations, managing to scope, and clarifying priorities.

Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruptions.

Support statement of work (SOW) creation, resource planning, and client presentations for your assigned Projects.

Drive business development by identifying opportunities to grow client portfolios and working directly with the Substation Business Lead to drive the overall plan in alignment with Company objectives

In addition to Project related duties, also sharing responsibilities focused on organizational processes including:

Work Keys Initiatives (e.g., Business Integrations, Strategic Projects, Telecom, Transmission)

Supporting driving Product improvements as liaison from Delivery Team

Govern / Own Technical Process & Improvements (working w/ Delivery Leads & Team) – 2026 Delivery Objectives

Work with Leads to prioritize Delivery improvements that adhere to the overall Delivery Team methodology

First line of governance &/or advisory support for the Projects of those that report into the Group

Project Delivery Managers are responsible for managing assigned Projects

Reports: Does have Reports – responsible for supporting Forecasting/Resourcing, Growth & Development, Mentoring, & Year End Review input

Additionally, specific to the SDS organization:

  • Ownership of Scoping support for the SDS Delivery organization,
  • Ownership of resourcing planning & execution at the SDS organization level – including the growth & development of direct reports (both technical and additional project managers)
  • Driver of the SDS Team KPIs in conjunction with the overall Delivery Team objectives
  • Delivery Methodology ownership for the SDS Delivery organization,
  • SDS Delivery process program ownership for internal initiatives.
  • SDS Governance support to other PMs projects in conjunction with Director and VP of delivery
Desired Experience

Minimum 5+ years of professional services Project Management experience, with a focus on system integrations, data solutions, or IT strategy.

Consulting or professional services experience preferred.

Experience in utilities or energy sectors is a plus.

Experience leading and mentoring a Team of Project Managers is a plus.

Effective communication skills and experience managing Client expectations and escalations and mitigation tactics

Proven ability to guide technical and functional teams to deliver projects successfully.

Experience managing projects utilizing MS Project and proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Requisite Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Excellent communication and planning skills with a history of developing effective relationships with business, technical staff, and executive management.

Proven ability to manage conflict with positive results and negotiate scope effectively.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, and event-driven environment.

Strong organizational skills and a proactive, self-starting mindset.

Ability to create a team vision and motivate teams to achieve common goals.

Education, Training & Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred.

PMP or CAPM certification is a bonus but not required.
