Job description

As a Technical Account Manager at TEHTRIS, you are the technical bridge between our customers' challenges and the TEHTRIS solution portfolio. Working hand in hand with Sales, Engineering, and Technical Support, you translate business needs into tailored cybersecurity recommendations, and bring that expertise to life through compelling presentations and live product demonstrations.

Your relationship with a customer doesn't end once the deal is signed. As our German division scales, you'll naturally extend into the role of Technical Account Manager for the clients you've helped onboard , staying close to them post-sale, making sure they get lasting value from their deployment, and feeding their feedback back into the teams who build the product. In practice, this means your time splits roughly 70% Presales / 30% TAM, with the second naturally following from the first.

Reports to: Head of Customer Services

Key Responsibilities

1) Winning the customer (Presales – 70%)

  • Work closely with the sales team throughout the sales process

  • Analyze and understand customers' needs to determine the appropriate solution

  • Act as a technical product expert to support presales activities, providing technical leadership and creative thinking

  • Demonstrate our services to potential customers and partners, recommending technical solutions

  • Interface with Product Management and Engineering to provide input on customer requirements

  • Participate in meetings with customers and the Sales team

  • Assist in writing technical customer proposals/bid responses (RFI/RFP), and carry out proofs of concept and workshops

  • Deliver technical presentations for customers, host webinars and conference calls

  • Act as intermediary between customer and technical support/sales

  • Provide competitive and current product analysis

  • Collect and provide customer feedback for product improvement

  • Manage and prioritize ad-hoc requests

  • Aid with internal and external product training

  • Work in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, and Product Managers, providing a technical bridge between Sales Representatives and their prospective customers

  • Take ownership of the prime technical relationship with presales customers, proactively managing and delivering technical information onsite, online, and via telephone

Keeping the customer (30%)

Once a customer is onboarded, you carry that relationship forward: building trust over time, understanding their evolving priorities, and acting as their internal advocate with Product and R&D. This includes leading product/roadmap update presentations, acting as an L2 escalation point alongside Support when needed, supporting key onboarding or Professional Services phases, and occasionally lending your expertise back into presales topics (tenders, demos, POCs) for your accounts. You'll also contribute to technical documentation and security publications, and may represent TEHTRIS at partner trainings or industry events.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a product or sales engineering role in cybersecurity

  • Excellent customer interaction skills - managing expectations, resolving issues

  • Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and business audiences; strong presentation skills

  • Strong technical and analytical skills; comfortable acting as a product specialist (features, functionality, benefits)

  • Ability to work across departments (Sales, Support, Engineering) and understand the sales process

  • Technical background within a business environment required

  • Familiarity with project management tools and Channel partner experience are a plus

  • Independent and team-oriented; detail-oriented, organized, punctual; strong multi-tasker and problem-solver

  • Fluent in German and in English.
