We are looking for a highly motivated Technology Risk Consulting professional at the Senior Consultant level to join our team. As a member of KPMG Canada’s cross-functional Technology Risk Consulting practice, you will help enable our clients' cyber transformation journey through service delivery leadership, advisory, and support.
What you will do
As a Senior Consultant, you’ll lead and work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting key services including general/application control audits and assessments, SOC 1 / SOC 2 / SOC 3 audits, cybersecurity and technology risk reviews, IT infrastructure security assessments, project governance reviews, and ISO assessments
- Reviewing new and existing systems for adequacy of controls, security, operational considerations, and project management
- Advising on business process controls
- Leading field engagement teams and mentoring junior staff
- Contributing to knowledge sharing through tool development and methodology enhancements
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Evaluating risks and controls associated with IT applications, operating systems, databases, interfaces, and business cycles
- Engaging with clients to understand their environments and needs
What you bring to the role
- Completion of one or more of the following designations is an asset: CPA, CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM
- A post-secondary degree
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in assessing IT or business process risk, ideally within a consulting environment
- Strong understanding of business process controls, IT General Controls (ITGCs), and controls-based audits/assessments (e.g., CSAE 3416, CSAE 3000, SSAE 18)
- Experience testing controls across various IT environments
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or others
- Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001/27002, NIST, COSO
- Experience in client relationship development, project management, and team leadership
