Job Description
Establishing a baseline for Citywide cyber defense is a complex multi-year endeavor. It involves the design, build, implementation, and operation of net-new people, processes, and technology. As cybersecurity threats become more numerous and more sophisticated, the defense of the City's information systems and critical service delivery vehicles becomes more important, time consuming, and specialized. Responsibilities will include:
- Work directly with the Security Sciences team and vendors to coordinate with legal, contracting, finance, and communications teams to manage multi-functional team coordination, opportunity screening, develop RFI and RFP, benefit/cost analysis, vendor selection, work plan scheduling, budget oversight, contractor management, issue resolution, reporting and project closeout functions.
- Manage the delivery of multiple projects across several domain areas, including engineering, operations, and customer-facing applications.
- Manage and update Cyber Commands Salesforce domain for multiple, interrelated projects.
- With collaboration from the Senior Advisor, assist in the creation of a centralized PMO structure to ensure all project variables are documented and ready for reporting and dashboard use.
- Develop and implement reporting and dashboarding strategy to ensure all relevant datapoints are available for executive leadership use.
- Translate leaderships vision into an achievable implementation plan.
- Lead multiple concurrent workstreams, including meetings, minutes, follow up items, and documentation.
- Develop new workflows and processes throughout the project lifecycle in collaboration with other stakeholders and drive those changes across the division and throughout the agency.
- Manage Proofs-of-Concept/Value (PoC/PoV) trials for new technology solutions as part of ongoing projects or as independent projects.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses to identify and resolve issues that may disrupt projects.
- Coordinate and manage the overall service or product provided to a customer end-to-end.
- Provide weekly and monthly project reports and metrics to key stakeholders.
- Support the Cyber Command leadership team in developing presentation materials, meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
- Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.
