Job description

Job Summary: SEACORP has immediate need for full-timeCybersecurity Professional with a current FinalSecret (or above) DoD security clearance based at our Newport, RI customer site. In this position,the candidate will provide direct support in system engineering processes onVirginia and Columbia platform applicable to submarine tactical systems. The selected applicant will assist in the development and verificationof Cybersecurity Requirements for US Navy submarine systems. Selectedapplicant will evaluate architectures for vulnerability to attack, and for compliancewith DoD, Navy and NAVSEA security policy. Evaluation efforts will includeencryption, classification domain separation, data at rest storage, data intransit concerns, and classification downgrading.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Analysis of existing specifications, and/or the development of specifications for technical controls and security policies.
  • Recommendation of cybersecurity requirements, architectures and practices for reviewed architectures.
  • Planning cybersecurity measures to improve cyber-defense and maintain cyber-resilient networks.
  • Developing methods to assess and verify that the systems under analysis are properly designed using the National.
  • Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800 series of special publications as well as applicable DoD requirements.
  • Assessing identified cybersecurity vulnerabilities for exploitation risk and proposing remediation actions and/or risk mitigation strategies.
