Job Description
We are seeking an entrepreneurial Cybersecurity Senior Manager to lead the growth and expansion of our cybersecurity consulting practice in the Pittsburgh market. This individual will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building and strengthening executive client relationships, leading high-impact cybersecurity engagements, and mentoring consulting teams while helping establish the firm's local cybersecurity presence. As a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders and CISOs, the successful candidate will drive cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and transformation initiatives while shaping the future direction, capabilities, and market reputation of our cybersecurity practice.
** Title and level will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, demonstrated leadership capabilities, and alignment with the scope and strategic expectations of the role, with the potential for appointment as an Associate Partner for highly qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
  • Lead large and complex cybersecurity engagements in challenging contexts, defining relevant strategies and delivery approaches, anticipating risks, mobilizing the right expertise, and ensuring high-quality outcomes that enable client decision-making and implementation.
  • Act as a recognized trusted advisor to clients, bringing market insight and cybersecurity expertise to influence executive stakeholders, manage complex situations (e.g., staffing, arbitrations, conflicts), and proactively secure client satisfaction.
  • Play a key role in driving local business development in the Pittsburgh market, leveraging a strong understanding of the regional cybersecurity ecosystem to originate and grow client relationships, strengthen Wavestone's footprint, and lead pitches and proposals with autonomy to win competitive deals.
  • Leverage and develop differentiated expertise to create impact both in client engagements and in sales activities, contributing to thought leadership, new value propositions, and the visibility of Wavestone's cybersecurity capabilities in the US market.
  • Lead, coach, and develop resources, acting as a role model for the Positive Way, fostering engagement, supporting career progression, and reinforcing performance and talent development across teams.
  • Contribute actively to the development of the Practice, supporting Partners and Associate Partners in team leadership, staffing, and coordination, while strengthening cross-practice collaboration and aligning delivery, sales, and people objectives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, economics, or other analytical majors; Master's/MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in a client-facing consulting role or equivalent leadership position within cybersecurity, IT, risk, or management consulting, with demonstrated exposure to large, complex organizations.
  • Established presence in the Pittsburgh cybersecurity and technology community, with a strong network and credibility among senior stakeholders (e.g., CIOs, CTOs, CISOs); demonstrated involvement in the local ecosystem and a proactive approach to community engagement and relationship building.
  • Deep expertise in cybersecurity and/or operational resilience domains (e.g., GRC, data protection, cyber risk, cloud security, incident response), with the ability to apply them in real-world client contexts.
  • Strong experience in Banking, Healthcare and/or Manufacturing, with a solid understanding of industry-specific business and regulatory requirements to effectively tailor cybersecurity solutions.
  • Successful track record of creating competitive and breakthrough strategies, leading projects in both a consulting and industry environment, owning deliverables and implementing creative client solutions in ambiguity.
  • Recognized ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage large audiences, and communicate transparently in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong record of developing managers and emerging leaders while serving as a role model for the firm's values and strategy.
  • Demonstrated success generating new business, leading major pitches, and expanding client relationships and networks.
  • Well-developed communications skills, including expertise in delivering compelling presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Genuine interpersonal skills to interface with clients/team members and the ability to build trusting client relationships.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Travel and Location
This full-time position is based in our Pittsburgh office. You must reside within commuting distance of our North Shore office.
