Distribution Center Specialist
Fisher's powered by Loffler Companies is seeking a qualified individual to fill our Distribution Center Specialist role. This position is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing office equipment, parts, and supplies. The role requires strong attention to detail, efficient work habits, and the ability to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments of office equipment, parts and supplies.
  • Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quality, and condition, noting any discrepancies or damages. Initiating the claim process as required.
  • Unload and unpack shipments, verifying the quantity and condition against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Organize and store equipment, parts and supplies in designated warehouse areas.
  • Accurately record inventory movement in the system.
  • Prepare items for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in loading and unloading delivery trucks as needed.
  • Participate in regular cleaning and maintenance of the warehouse.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly, including shipping and receiving records.
  • Work closely with other warehouse associates, drivers and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
  • Follow warehouse safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Assist in training new warehouse employees on company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift, carry and move heavy objects up to 75 lbs. on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to stand, walk and move around the warehouse for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, including cold and heat.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle physical workloads.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required.
