General Description

We are currently offering an opportunity for a Lifecycle Engineer to serve full time at Key Customer location near Aiken, SC. The successful candidate would assist our growing team at that Customer Location supporting the Process Control and Cyber Security Teams in the development, delivery, maintenance and optimization of the state-of-the-art process control software called “DeltaV”.  The Lifecycle Engineering team maintains “DeltaV” from installation to its end-of-life. Candidates must be able to work with customers in a professional manner while working under pressure during process startups and while troubleshooting issues. Typically, scopes of work include control panel grounding verification and commissioning, software installation and staging of server and network equipment, performance audits, performing cybersecurity assessments and system patching, designing virtual computer infrastructure, and troubleshooting electrical and equipment issues.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.
  • Designs and plans standard network systems.
  • Conducts testing of network systems.
  • Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architectures.
  • Performs operational analysis and effectiveness analysis of existing control strategies
  • Maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed software and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.
  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
  • May build. design and implement training models.
  • Analyze and Troubleshoot DeltaV and network issues 
  • Works primarily with internal contacts and has some contact with customer on routine matters.
  • Must have technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
  • Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
  • Works frequently across organization and with customers on difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
