Job Description:

L3Harris Corporation is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) in its Canoga Park, California facility. The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for classified information system(s) (IS). The ISSO shall ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with Cognizant Security Agency (CSA) approved IS security policies and procedures. The ISSO plays an active role in monitoring the system(s) and environment of operation, managing, and controlling changes to the system, and assessing the security impact of those changes to further advise the Information System Security Manager (SSM) and Facility Security Officer (FSO).

Essential Functions:

• Ability to obtain and maintainDoD 8570 baseline certification.
• Ensuringsystems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures as outlined in the security authorization package.
• Ensuring audit records on multiple information system platforms are collected and analyzed in accordance with the approved security plan and discrepancies reported.
• Attending technical and security training (e.g., operating system, networking, security management) relative to assigned compliance duties.
• Ensuringall users have the requisite security clearances, authorization andneed-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities prior to granting access to systems.
• Reporting all security-related incidents to the ISSM and/or FSO.
• Conducting continuous monitoring of environments to ensure compliance with security authorization packages.
• May serve as a compliance advisory member on the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
• Coordinatingand documenting changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware of a system with Information Technology (IT) and/or ISSM prior to the change.
• Notifying the ISSM when changes occur that might affect system authorization.
• Monitoring system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and functioning correctly.
• Ensuringall IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
• Ensuringaudit records are collected and analyzed in accordance with the security plan.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior cyber intelligence experience required; or associate degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior cyber intelligence experience required; or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior cyber intelligence experience required.
• Active US Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Active DoD 8570 baseline certification (Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC, CASP CE, CISA, CISM, or CISSP).
• Experience working with information system security principles and practices.
• Understanding of classified information systems handling.
• Government compliance, regulations, and standards (NISPOM, DAAPM,DAAG, RMF, JSIG, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, DISA STIGS) with special emphasis on risk management framework (RMF) experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows and/or Linux system administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of system center configuration management(SCCM).
• Knowledge of security content automation protocol (SCAP).
• Experience supporting self-inspections, CCRI, audits, or assessments.
• Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical professionals at all levels.
• Ability to prepare and present reports to management.
• Motivation and desireto thoroughly investigate, analyze, and document system issues and resolutions.
• Ability to produce quality deliverables and to complete assigned projects on time.
• Consistent attention to detail.

• Troubleshooting skills.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $92,500 - $171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
