Company Description New Century Insurance Services, Inc. is a midsize independent retail insurance agency with two offices serving the greater Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino Counties, as well as clients across the United States and overseas. The agency specializes in both commercial and personal lines, with direct appointments to many leading insurance carriers. With over 60 insurance professionals, the team provides technical expertise for a wide range of commercial accounts, from small businesses to large, complex risks. The firm is committed to high integrity, professionalism, and delivering “solutions beyond ordinary” through insurance and non-insurance risk management strategies. Areas of specialization include property casualty including management/professional liability coverages such as DO, EPLI, EO, Cyber Liability, Fiduciary, and Crime.

Role Description This full-time Commercial Lines Account Manager role is a hybrid position based in Alhambra, CA, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Account Manager will handle day-to-day servicing of commercial lines accounts, including policy administration, endorsements, renewals, and coverage changes. Responsibilities include responding to client inquiries, preparing proposals, processing certificates of insurance, and coordinating with carriers on quotes, policy issues, and claims-related follow-up. The role involves reviewing coverage, identifying gaps, and assisting in the placement of appropriate insurance and risk management solutions. The Account Manager will collaborate closely with producers and colleagues to ensure timely, accurate service and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.


Company is temporarily located in Arcadia, CA and in-office presence is required through training period.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing book of house accounts including answering client questions, cross-sell as appropriate, reviewing and responding to renewal activities and followups.
  • Quote, process endorsements and renewal binds for sales staffs
  • Manage policy changes, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, and other account-related servicing activities
  • Work with carrier partners and staff to build relationships
  • Document with our agency management system (Vertafore AMS 360)
Requirements
  • Foundational Insurance knowledge, including carrier markets, underwriting basics, and risk management concepts
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in an independent agency or brokerage setting and able to hit the ground running including all relevant insurance licenses (such as California PC license)
  • Demonstrated Account Management experience, including policy servicing and renewal management
  • Proficiency with agency management systems and common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office and remote responsibilities
