Job description

What You'll Do

1. Own the Technical Win

•         Be The SME: Join Account Executives on discovery and demo calls as the compliance subject matter expert, translating a prospect’s framework obligations into how the platform operationalizes them.

•         Run Proof of Concept to a Decision: Define success criteria with the prospect up front and execute the evaluation.

•         Handle the Hard Questions: Be the expert, the ally, the smart person that knows the thing. This is where the hard hitting questions come in, but you have the answers.

2. Multi Framework Solutioning

•         Design with the Crosswalk: Scope how a provider maps one control set to many frameworks (CMMC, NIST 800-171, SOC 2, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, NIST CSF, and RMF with NIST 800-53) across their client base.

•         Scope Services: Support statements of work alongside the services team: assessment readiness, gap assessments, and evidence program design.

3. Framework Expansion Engine

•         Lead Design Partners Technically: Work with existing MSP partners, teaching each client the Intelli Way, deep diving into how the MSP delivers service and the best way to deliver in the app.

•         Build the Technical Toolkit: Own demo environments and tenant configurations per framework, objection handling on platform depth, and competitive positioning against automation first vendors.

4. Enablement and Collaboration

•         Enable the Floor: Train Account Executives, Account Managers, and BDRs on framework fundamentals and qualifying questions so compliance depth scales beyond your calendar.

•         Carry the Field into Product: Represent prospects and partners at product roadmap reviews with framework readiness needs, blockers, and competitive gaps, backed by evidence.

•         Updates and Releases: Train and update the sales staff on trends, updates to frameworks, and more.

Who You Are

•         Practitioner First: Your framework knowledge comes from doing the work: readiness, implementation, evidence, and audits, not just studying for them.

•         Presales Instincts: You can run a technical evaluation to a decision and know the difference between educating and closing.

•         Translator: You move fluently between executives (CEO, CIO, CFO) and practitioners (ISSOs, ISSMs, assessors, auditors, consultants).

•         AI Enabled: You leverage AI for research, demo preparation, and content so your depth scales.

•         Process Oriented: You keep CRM clean, evaluations structured, and commitments documented.

•         Resilient: A hostile technical question in front of a buying committee makes you sharper, not smaller.

Preferred Background

•         Experience: 5+ years in cyber compliance delivery, GRC consulting, or compliance focused presales, preferably serving MSP, MSSP, consultancy, or audit firm environments where you supported many client environments at once.

•         Framework Depth: Practitioner level expertise across SOC 2 (Trust Services Criteria through audit), ISO 27001 (ISMS design, Annex A, certification lifecycle), CMMC and NIST 800-171 (assessment objectives, scoping, POA&Ms, the DIB ecosystem), and RMF with NIST 800-53.

•         Certifications: CISSP, CCP or CCA (Cyber AB), ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor, CISA, CGRC or CAP, or CCSP are strong signals.

•         Assessor Side Experience: Time on the other side of the table (C3PAO engagements, SOC 2 examinations, or ISO certification audits) is a strong plus.

•         Tools: Hands on time inside a GRC platform as an admin or implementer, and experience working deals in HubSpot or a similar CRM.

•         Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with equivalent experience.

Why Join IntelliGRC?

•         Innovation and Impact: You will be the technical authority behind a framework expansion the whole 2027 plan is built on, with direct visibility to leadership.

•         AI Forward Culture: Harness AI tools to automate, analyze, and enhance your approach, so you can focus on prospects and partners.

•         Collaborative Environment: Work closely with leadership and technical experts who value experimentation and transparency.

•         Career Growth: Define the solutions engineering function from day one, with a clear path to senior technical or revenue leadership as we scale.

Compensation

•         $100,000 - $140,000
