Job Summary: Bizzell Corporation is seeking highly motivated candidates to join a team in the analysis and testing of software and hardware baselines for a next-generation cyber training environment for the US Army in collaboration with the Joint cyber defense community.

Essential Job Functions: Candidates will support the design and creation of hardware/software test cases, scenarios, and procedures that incorporates the use of a variety of software applications and tools. Performs unit testing, configuration item and system level tests, manage automated testing, and support verification/validation testing as required. Develops test plans and test reports for all levels of testing performed. Works closely with the customer, development staff and systems engineers to thoroughly understand the system requirements and software implementation. Will be required to work with a team of Engineers from a diverse background of expertise

Location: Orlando, FL

Travel: Potential of travel up to 20%

Required Skills:

Four (4) years or greater experience with testing or debugging of software, hardware and training systems.

Experience testing of web-based applications in a rapidly changing and evolving environment.

Experience in scripting languages (Python) and automated testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress)

Must be able to take initiative, communicate with team members, and identify and resolve potential issues.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required.

Able to write detail test procedures.

Able to write test automation scripts.

Familiar with CI/CD test automation, & orchestration tools (Jenkins, OpenShift, Gitlab pipeline etc.).

Knowledge in any of the following areas would be considered a plus:

  • DevOps automation and container orchestration.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and Zephyr
  • Performance and scalability testing
  • Hardware troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
  • Experience with virtualization
  • Familiar working within a Linux environment

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university. May substitute relevant military or work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Four (4) years of experience in a Test Engineer position testing new software baselines, as well as supporting installation of software and hardware at remote sites.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance is required.

Other Requirements: Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with an active SECRET clearance, and an ability to attain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.

About the Program: PCTE Persistent Cyber Training Environment

PCTE is the DOD's enterprise training platform that provides Joint Cyber Operation forces with realistic training to individuals and teams in addition to mission rehearsals and supports the US Cyber Command. It is currently the largest cyber range in the world. Anyone in the DoD doing offensive cyber operations receive training on this program.

Qualifications:

U.S. citizenship

Active DoD Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as IT, computer science, or software systems engineering

4+ years of relevant work experience

Experience in Linux

Demonstrated experience in a technically demanding environment, with the ability to execute in a hands-on role while remaining on task with installation schedules

Ability to learn new hardware and software systems

Must be detail oriented and able to follow complex installation instructions to configure and validate environments.

Familiarity with command line tools and scripts for automation, administration, data collection and reporting

Ability to debug, deploy, and sustain scripts

Ability to prioritize tasks in an agile and fast-paced environment

Experience with office tools such as Microsoft Office, Slack, Jira, Confluence, etc.
