Join the Parkview Cardiovascular Team!
The PPG Cardiovascular team is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our robust practice of 5 Surgeons and 7 APPs to serve our patients with diverse cardiac needs within the communities we serve. An interested candidate should have the ability to collaborate with intra-interdepartmental team members as well as community organizations or members. A qualified candidate would have the ability to multitask and utilize critical thinking skills to best serve our patients.
Schedule and Responsibilities
  • Monday-Friday - with shared call on nights and weekends.
  • Role is focused on hospital-based care, supporting Vascular surgeons in OR, inpatient rounds and doing consults
  • Work location at PRMC within the Parkview Heart Institute
  • Great collaboration as you would be joining 7 other CVS APPs and 5 surgeons
  • Hands-on orientation with structure to support OR clinical skills, consulting structure and documentation guidelines

Job Requirements for Nurse Practitioner
  • Graduate of an accredited Master of Science in Nursing program (DNP optional)
  • Current or pending state license for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
  • Current or pending certification by an approved professional certification organization
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an APP preferred.
Job Requirements for Physician Assistant
  • Graduate of a Masters' degree program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant Program (ARC-PA).
  • Current or pending state license
  • Current or pending certification by an approved professional certification organization
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.
Certifications as required by specialty which may be but are not limited to:
  • BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ACLS/ACLS-EP
