This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

10-hour rotating shifts with potential 12-hour shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights). Call and weekends required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist. The ideal candidate must have significant experience in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, including familiarity with advanced surgical practices such as cardiac robotics, LVAD, and heart transplantation. The position entails participation in surgeries and ensuring a sterile environment during procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating room for surgical procedures.
  • Assist in the surgical setup and ensure the availability of necessary instruments.
  • Maintain a sterile environment during surgical procedures.
  • Support surgeons and other healthcare team members during operations.
  • Scrub in for cardiovascular and other surgeries including general, ortho, neuro, vascular, and trauma cases.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Must be certified with NCCT-TS-C or NBSTSA-CST.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room settings.
  • 1 year of Level 1 Trauma experience within the last 3 years.
  • Recent travel experience of at least 1 year is preferred.
  • Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations are required; medical/religious declinations accepted.
  • Must be able to scrub for procedures.
