Job description

Meat cutters are responsible for ensuring the meat cases are well-stocked with fresh, high quality meat and poultry products. Meat cutters will receive, stock, cut, grind, wrap, weigh, price, and merchandise meat department products. They will also order and stock pre-packaged meat items.

Cutters are to assist customers with special requests and answer questions about our meat products and services as well as any other tasks assigned. Meat cutters are required to work with equipment like meat saws, slicers, grinders, wrapping machines, and knives. They will help in unloading of trucks as well as maintain a clean work area.

Cutters must maintain safety with the equipment, in all areas, at all times.
