Job description

Location: Naples, FL (Remote considered)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000
About the Role
FYIsoft is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead our accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting functions. This role owns the day-to-day accuracy of our books while also acting as a key internal user and advocate for the FP&A and ERP tools that support the finance function. We're looking for someone equally comfortable closing the books, presenting numbers to leadership, and working confidently inside modern financial systems.
We value strong technical adaptability as much as years in the seat. As a financial reporting software company, FYIsoft runs on the same AI-powered and automated accounting tools we build for our customers - which means this role offers hands-on exposure to AI-driven reporting, automation, and modern FP&A platforms well beyond what's typical in a traditional accounting department at a larger company. Candidates earlier in their career who are quick to learn new systems and comfortable working alongside AI tools will find this a strong springboard for building in-demand skills that are increasingly essential to where the accounting profession is headed.
What You'll Do
  • Manage day-to-day accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, collections, and cash application
  • Manage accounts payable operations, including vendor invoice processing, approvals, and payment runs
  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and close processes
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAP
  • Partner with FP&A and leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Maintain and optimize the use of ERP and FP&A applications for accounting workflows
  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline AR/AP and reporting processes using existing systems
  • Support internal and external audits with organized documentation and clear explanations of processes
  • Communicate financial results and issues clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
  • Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience
  • Direct experience managing accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
  • Strong financial reporting experience, including month-end/period close
  • Tech-savvy and a fast learner with new systems - hands-on experience using FP&A applications and ERP systems, and genuine comfort adopting AI-powered and automated accounting tools (weighted more heavily than additional years of experience beyond the minimum)
  • Strong analytical skills - able to interpret financial data and identify trends or discrepancies
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial information to non-accountants
  • Solid working knowledge of GAAP
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a SaaS, software, or technology company
  • Experience with NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Sage Intacct, Acumatica, or QuickBooks
  • Prior people-management or team-lead experience

Why This Role Is a Strong Career Move
  • Direct, hands-on exposure to AI-powered financial reporting and automation - skills that are quickly becoming essential across the accounting profession
  • Opportunity to work with modern FP&A and ERP tools daily, rather than waiting years to be exposed to them
  • A chance to build a technical edge early in your career that differentiates you from peers with a more traditional accounting background
  • Room to grow alongside a company whose product and internal operations are both built around the same AI and automation tools

Why Join FYIsoft?
FYIsoft offers a high-growth, entrepreneurial culture where employees have the opportunity to directly impact company success while advancing their careers in the rapidly growing AI and financial technology space.
Benefits Include:
  • Competitive compensation package
  • Commission and bonus opportunities
  • Paid Time Off and company holidays
  • 401(k) plan with company participation
  • 100% company-paid employee health, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
    • Additional voluntary benefits
  • Bonus and stock option potential
