Job description

Position Overview

Lindsay Corporation is seeking a Sales Representative, AgTech - Northwest Region to grow adoption, sales, and customer success for FieldNET, FieldNET Advisor, and other Lindsay-owned agricultural technology solutions. This highly visible role blends consultative selling, dealer development, grower education, and hands-on technical support across an assigned Northwest territory.

The ideal candidate understands agriculture and irrigation, builds trusted relationships, and is comfortable moving between the field, the dealership, and the sales pipeline. This individual will partner closely with Zimmatic Regional Managers, product teams, dealers, growers, and the broader AgTech team to create long-term customer value.

Key Responsibilities

Build and manage a strong sales funnel for FieldNET, FieldNET Advisor, and other Lindsay AgTech solutions across new, competitive, and existing accounts.

Drive regional sales, adoption, annual recurring revenue, renewals, market share, and customer retention.

Develop current and new dealer channels in close partnership with Zimmatic Regional Managers.

Build trusted relationships with dealers, growers, agronomic consultants, and other key stakeholders through a consultative sales approach.

Prospect and create new opportunities through targeted outreach, including cold calling and in-person engagement.

Train dealers and growers on FieldNET and FieldNET Advisor features, solution placement, agronomic benefits, software use, and the overall sales process.

Provide Level 1 product support by phone and in the field, including software and account setup, agronomic data questions, issue resolution, complaint follow-up, and seasonal customer support.

Install soil moisture probes on case-study fields and train dealers on proper installation as needed.

Partner with product teams to identify case-study crops and field locations and coordinate successful execution.

Monitor market performance, customer needs, competitive activity, emerging products, and regional trends; communicate insights and issues promptly to leadership.

Maintain accurate and timely sales activity, opportunity, and customer information in Salesforce or other assigned CRM tools, including weekly sales-call reporting during the selling season.

Create and deliver clear, data-informed presentations for dealers, growers, customers, and internal partners.

What Success Looks Like

Increase regional FieldNET and FieldNET Advisor market penetration, hardware sales, and annual recurring revenue by 15% annually.

Maintain a FieldNET and FieldNET Advisor renewal rate of at least 95% within the assigned region.

Grow FieldNET Advisor adoption to 50% of current FieldNET users in the assigned region by the end of 2028.

Conduct at least 20 in-person, grower-facing training or sales presentations each year.

Hold sales meetings with at least 15 large growers in the assigned region each year.

Required Qualifications

Associate degree in business, agronomy, marketing, agriculture, or a related field; or at least seven years of relevant AgTech, agronomy, mechanized agriculture sales, or management experience in place of the degree.

At least two years of AgTech sales experience, including knowledge of competitive practices, sales training techniques, and implementation tactics.

Strong knowledge of agriculture, regional crops, irrigation methods, and farming practices.

Strong business acumen with effective communication, presentation, decision-making, and analytical skills.

Technical aptitude with computers, mobile devices, software, and electronics, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Demonstrated ability to independently plan and manage a territory, develop a distribution channel, prioritize opportunities, and achieve sales goals.

Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, valid U.S. passport, and ability to travel overnight within the United States and Canada.

Residence in, or willingness to relocate to, Southwest Idaho or Southeast Washington.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, agronomy, marketing, agriculture, or a related field.

Experience in precision agriculture, agronomy, irrigation, or a related agricultural technology segment.

Experience using Salesforce or a comparable customer relationship management platform.

Work Style and Travel Expectations

Approximately 70% travel is expected, including overnight travel for multiple nights, occasional travel outside the assigned region, and occasional weekend travel.

The role may require more than 40 hours during certain weeks and availability for customer calls outside normal business hours, particularly during the growing season.

Success requires initiative, urgency, sound judgment, professionalism under pressure, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

All work and interactions should reflect Lindsay's values, with honesty, integrity, trust, and a commitment to building customers for life.

Why Lindsay?
