Job description

Student Customer Service Specialist
The Student Customer Service Specialist serves an important role in the daily operations of ASU Enterprise Partners (ASUEP) and its affiliates. The Student Customer Service Specialist position works within the Building Operations department and is responsible for completing multiple daily and weekly office tasks in support of ASUEP. This position is year-round.
What you'll do:
  • Hours available for this position are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (shared hours).
  • Student hours will be arranged according to their school schedule, shared work with other students, and the needs of the organization. Punctuality and reliable attendance are critical to the success of this role to ensure consistent coverage, smooth daily operations, and dependable support for ASUEP facilities.
  • The primary location for this role will be the Fulton Center with additional support required at the SkySong campus located in south Scottsdale on the corner of McDowell and Scottsdale Rd. Company provided vehicles will be provided for inter-campus transportation. Safely driving company vehicles and golf carts is a requirement of the role.
  • Provide excellent customer service for all guests, visitors, and employees by creating a welcoming and proactive environment, anticipating needs, offering clear direction, responding promptly to questions or concerns, and ensuring each interaction reflects professionalism, attentiveness, and ASUEP's commitment to service. Display professional demeanor at all times.
  • Perform reception desk duties on behalf of ASUEP and its affiliates, including the ASU Foundation.
  • Responsible for coordinating all aspects of conference center reservations to ensure accuracy and seamless operations. Assist with room setup to customer standards which includes moving and arranging tables and chairs on a daily basis.
  • Perform daily tasks needed to support the daily operations of the ASUEP facilities.
  • Assist with daily mail room operations and conduct daily deliveries. Assigned tasks include, but are not limited to, driving the company vehicle to the Post Office, SkySong, and Fulton Center locations, opening and sorting mail, notifying employees of deliveries, and distributing mail and packages to employees across the campuses.
  • Oversee all aspects of company vehicles and golf carts, including reservation management, repairs and maintenance, and providing behind-the-wheel golf cart training for employees.
  • Oversee and conduct scheduled inventory, restocking, and ordering of all supplies and ensure the storage rooms and breakrooms remain organized and aligned with our service standards and procurement processes.
  • Provide basic audio-visual support for meetings organized in the Fulton Conference Center rooms. Coordinate with T&S colleagues to escalate more complex issues.
  • Operate a multi-line phone system by answering calls in a warm, helpful, and professional manner; receiving and screening calls; providing clear information or direction when possible; and redirecting callers to the appropriate employee, department, or resource as needed.
  • Provide parking validation for guests.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Other tasks as requested or assigned.

  • Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word
Relevant qualifications:
  • A current student at Arizona State University pursuing a degree in a related field with a willingness to learn and ability to work well with others. Student must be willing to sign and abide by a confidentiality agreement. Student must possess a valid driver's license and have a driving record in good standing, and be able and willing to safely drive company vehicles and golf carts as a requirement of the role.
