Requirements:

Customer Service Representative must meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma and (3) years of experience in any of the following; Inside Sales, Job Order Entry, customer billing or invoicing.
  • Ability to learn on the job.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Able to effectively communicate in positive manner with team members, prospects and customers using voice, phone and email.
  • Some knowledge or experience in inputting inventory transactions and data into MS-Access input screens.
  • Daily timekeeping and labor posting experience in to jobs (or work orders), a plus.
  • Experience with cargo and freight processes, completing Bill of Ladings, a plus.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be honest, trustworthy and accountable, able to undergo a background check.
  • Must be able to work in the USA, legally.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test, which includes Marijuana.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers to provide basic information in response to routine inquiries about trucking and warehousing services.
  • Preparing formal quotes for services requested from customers and prospects, using time estimates provided by others, multiplying those hours by listed sale prices, extending those quoted service totals, then using MS – Word quote template, prepare, review and email\fax those quotes.
  • Receive and process incoming orders for trucking and\or warehousing services such as unloading, loading and storages of customer’s products, raw material and equipment. Generally, receives orders via e-mail, phone, fax, or other electronic means. Duties include informing customers of receipt, prices, shipping dates, and delays; preparing storage contracts; and handling complaints and inquiries.
  • Maintain customer’s inventory stored at our facilities, by verify and maintaining records on incoming and outgoing shipments involving inventory, using MS-Access programs.
  • Compile and record employee time and payroll data, which includes recording equipment used, daily onto jobs.
  • Compile, compute, and record invoice\billing, and other numerical data for billing purposes. Prepare billing invoices for services rendered, for storage, delivery or shipment of customer’s goods.
  • Expedite and route movement of incoming and outgoing cargo and freight shipments within our warehouses. Take orders from customers and arrange pickup of freight and cargo for delivery to customer’s locations. Includes preparing Bills of Lading and pricing and billing customers.
  • Other related tasks as assigned by supervisor on occasions.
