Job description

Customer Service Associate  |  Ashley, PA  |  Straub Metal  |  Quarterly Incentive Program

What you will do:

Perform activities related to customer order entry and maintenance of customer files. Communicate with customers, suppliers and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner. Interact with personnel at all levels, suppliers and others required in the fulfillment of customer orders.   

Responsibilities:  

  • Enters customer orders  
  • Coordinates processing of customer orders  
  • Maintains customer information in the computer database 
  • Maintains customer files in such a way as to meet the Quality Systems requirements 
  • Confirms completion and accuracy of orders 
  • Reviews and approves invoices directly related to customer orders 
  • Generates reports as needed on customer order and/or inventory activity 
  • Works with internal and external personnel to resolve nonconformance issues 
  • Performs Contract Review  
  • Coordinates logistics for orders and customer stock moves 
  • Reviews inventory supplies for contract customers and advises Sales of status. 
  • Meets with the Customer Service Manager & Sales Associate for order review. 
  • Meets with Sales Associates as needed to enhance inter department communication 
  • Initiates communication with customers to ensure customer satisfaction 
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned by the Customer Service Manage

Minimum Previous Experience:  

  • Prior Clerical Experience  
  • Prior Customer Service Experience 

Minimum Additional Training:  

  • Basic computer skills 
  • Basic knowledge of Office software 
  • Basic office machine operation
