Job Description Summary

The Reliability Specialist position provides leadership, expertise, and direction to facilitate a culture of continuous improvement in the maintenance department. The primary purpose of this role is to evaluate work processes, identify losses, develop and implement strategies to delivery improved equipment reliability. These strategies will include, but are not limited to, development of systems and standards to improve skill level of the department, improve job plans, drive to root cause, and increase department efficiency. Manages all repair and maintenance activities in the assigned area.

Job Description

  • Provide coaching to TMs and ensure compliance with all Company safetyprograms, initiatives,and procedures.

  • Develop andmaintainpreventive and predictive maintenance programs.

  • Maintain equipment hierarchy tofacilitatethe gathering of equipment repair history and equipment cost.

  • Analyze and evaluate maintenance downtime trends.

  • Provide recommendations and data for equipment reliability improvements, including equipment improvement, improved preventative maintenance plans,and improved predictive maintenance plans.

  • Provide support for efficient troubleshooting/problem-solvingactivities and maintenance repairs to maximizeefficiencyand minimize downtime

  • Support Engineering and Maintenance Manager to create and execute a maintenance and capital budget

  • Assistin managing maintenance department costs within budgetary targets

  • Identifycritical spares and work with procurement to ensure inventory levels are appropriate

  • Provide coaching to TLMs on area reliability improvements

  • PerformandassistBDEs (Breakdown Elimination) and technical analysis toidentifyequipment failures andexecutepermanentcountermeasuresto prevent future losses

  • Participatingin VSU(Vertical Start Up)and EM(Early Management)pillar activities

  • Ensure new equipment is captured in CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System),maintenance specifications, warranty,and recommended spare parts are entered.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or 7 plusyears experiencein Manufacturing

  • 3-5 yearsSupervisoryexperience

  • 3-5years experiencein statistical data analysis and lean manufacturing principles

  • Leadership skills to work as a mentor to peers and subordinates
