Marketing & Public Relations Intern
Adventure Park | Lubbock, Texas
Pay: $12.00 per hour
Hours: 10-12 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible; combination of onsite and offsite/remote work

Adventure Park is looking for a creative, energetic, and outgoing Marketing & Public Relations Intern to help us show Lubbock why Adventure Park is the place to be!
If you love social media, creating content, taking photos and videos, coming up with fun ideas, and getting people excited about experiences, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
This is a hands-on internship where you'll get real-world experience in social media marketing, content creation, public relations, promotions, event marketing, and brand development.
What You'll Do
Social Media & Content Creation
  • Help manage and grow Adventure Park's social media presence.
  • Create fun, engaging content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant channels.
  • Capture photos and short-form videos throughout the park.
  • Assist with creating Reels, TikToks, Stories, posts, and promotional content.
  • Develop creative ideas for trends, challenges, contests, and guest engagement.
  • Help create a consistent and recognizable Adventure Park brand and voice.
  • Monitor social media trends and recommend new content ideas.
  • Help maintain a basic social media content calendar.

Onsite Marketing
  • Spend time at the park capturing authentic guest experiences and behind-the-scenes content.
  • Photograph attractions, food, events, employees, and special promotions.
  • Help promote upcoming events, parties, group experiences, and seasonal activities.
  • Assist with promotional campaigns and special marketing projects.
  • Work with management to identify opportunities for new content and promotions.

Public Relations & Community Outreach
  • Help promote Adventure Park within the Lubbock community.
  • Assist with outreach to schools, universities, community organizations, businesses, and local groups.
  • Help identify local events, partnerships, and promotional opportunities.
  • Assist with community partnership and cross-promotion ideas.
  • Help draft promotional announcements, press releases, and other communications when needed.
  • Help build positive relationships between Adventure Park and the local community.

Marketing Projects
  • Brainstorm new ways to increase park awareness, visits, parties, group bookings, and engagement.
  • Assist with promotional campaigns and special offers.
  • Research competitors and local entertainment trends.
  • Help track social media engagement and basic marketing results.
  • Make recommendations based on what is performing well.
  • Assist with other marketing projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience with social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or YouTube.
  • Experience creating photos, videos, graphics, or short-form content.
  • Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Photography or videography experience is a plus.
  • Previous marketing, social media, communications, or customer service experience is helpful but not required.
