Job description

Your tasks

  • Lead primarily B-Projects from project nomination through stable series production.
  • Plan and manage complete customer projects in alignment with all affected stakeholders, customers, suppliers, business units, group functions, and plant organizations.
  • Independently plan and control all processes, activities, and capacities required to develop a production-ready product in accordance with the Product Development Process (PDP).
  • Create project proposals and manage project changes through project closure, including preparation of status reports, change documentation, and final project reports.
  • Develop, agree, maintain, communicate, and continuously update the master timing plan while monitoring project progress and initiating corrective actions when necessary.
  • Serve as the primary interface to customers and suppliers for all project-related matters and decisions.
  • Decide on the implementation of project changes and customer-related courses of action.
  • Ensure effective operational risk management throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present Quality Gate reports in accordance with PDP requirements in collaboration with the project team.
  • Lead global cross-functional project teams in accordance with the Project Management Handbook and defined project management standards.

Your Profile

  • Able to work onsite in Auburn Hills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in project management, including at least 3 years of experience leading projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing product development and industrialization projects within a manufacturing environment.
  • Fulfills the competency profile of a Senior Project Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, project planning, risk management, and change management.
  • Ability to lead global project teams and effectively manage customer and supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, customer focus, and results orientation.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities in an international matrix organization.
