Customer Experience Associate II
Location: East Hartford, CT 06108
Pay Rate: $19.94 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

We are seeking a Customer Experience Associate II to support an important Summer EBT program that helps families access food assistance for children during the summer months. If you enjoy helping others, thrive in a customer service environment, and have strong communication skills, this is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in your community.
What You'll Do
As a Customer Experience Associate II, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers calling with questions about the Summer EBT program. You will provide accurate information, document customer interactions, and ensure each caller receives professional and compassionate service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Answer inbound customer calls regarding application status, eligibility, and program information.
  • Assist callers with application questions and requests for additional information.
  • Accurately document all customer interactions in the call tracking system.
  • Research customer inquiries and provide timely resolutions.
  • Escalate calls to leadership or appropriate agencies when necessary.
  • Process complaints according to established procedures.
  • Identify trends in customer concerns and recommend service improvements.
  • Maintain knowledge of Summer EBT program policies and procedures.
  • Meet quality, accuracy, productivity, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Candidates should have one of the following:
  • Associate degree preferred, OR
  • Minimum of six months of call center or customer service experience.

Preferred Experience
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, CHIP, or other public assistance programs.
  • Experience working within healthcare, human services, or public assistance environments.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain professional, patient, and empathetic under pressure.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced call center environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply.
