Job description

Customer Account Manager


Position Purpose

The Customer Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and coordinates orders from purchase order receipt through production, delivery, and invoicing. This role works closely with Sales, Job Planning, Prepress, Manufacturing, Shipping, and other Operations teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated, timelines are met, and a high level of customer service is maintained.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts throughout the order lifecycle.
  • Review customer purchase orders, specifications, and requirements against approved quotations for accuracy.
  • Enter, open, and maintain customer jobs and required documentation in company systems.
  • Coordinate job specifications, timelines, and customer expectations with Job Planning, Prepress, Manufacturing, Shipping, and other departments.
  • Monitor job progress, identify potential issues or delays, and proactively communicate updates and solutions.
  • Coordinate Prepress approvals and production readiness.
  • Prepare and communicate production, finishing, packaging, labeling, and shipping requirements.
  • Maintain accurate customer and job status information and provide regular updates.
  • Review completed jobs for accuracy and support timely reconciliation and invoicing.
  • Respond to customer questions, concerns, and requests professionally and promptly.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, communication, and the overall customer experience.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Strong customer service, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Book manufacturing, printing industry highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs, deadlines, and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, databases, email, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in manufacturing, printing, publishing, or a related production environment preferred.
