APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with a dynamic company in Bel Air, MD that is seeking to add an Insurance Customer Account Manager to their growing team.  In this hybrid role, you will support producers in servicing and growing client accounts by managing policy placements, renewals, and day-to-day customer service while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong client relationships.  Keep reading for more details!

What your day will look like:
  • Partner with producers to market, quote, and place coverage for new and existing clients 
  • Assist clients with reviewing coverage and identify opportunities to round out accounts 
  • Prepare applications, proposals, binders, certificates, endorsements, and policy documents while ensuring accuracy 
  • Submit applications to carriers, follow up on quotes, and obtain required client signatures 
  • Manage renewal process including 120-day reviews, remarketing, renewal proposals, and Acord updates 
  • Request loss runs, prepare submissions, and ensure timely renewal processing per agency standards 
  • Review policies, audits, and endorsements for accuracy and coordinate corrections with carriers and clients 
  • Maintain accurate client records and updates in the agency management system 
  • Handle incoming emails, mail, and service requests promptly and professionally 
  • Process cancellations, determine retention opportunities, and coordinate follow-up with producers 
  • Support billing processes including agency bill review, payment verification, and receipts 
  • Assist clients with claims reporting and follow up to ensure timely carrier response and updates
What we are looking for:
  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License 
  • Some college education or equivalent insurance industry experience 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain and interpret complex information 
  • Solid understanding of insurance products, coverages, rating procedures, underwriting, and industry operations 
  • Knowledge of insurance markets and ability to reference appropriate carriers and solutions 
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations including decimals and fractions 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) and general computer systems 
  • Familiar with or willing to learn QQ Catalyst Agency Management System
