Foster Remodeling Solutions (FRS) is actively seeking a full-time Carpenter for a fulfilling, long-term role with comprehensive benefits. Job Duties:
  • Strictly follow all safety protocols.
  • Unpack and arrange tools daily for organization.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety on the job site.
  • Manage material pickups and deliveries while obeying traffic laws.
  • Support Lead Carpenter in daily tasks.
  • Adjust to diverse working environments and weather conditions, including activities such as:
    • Stooping, kneeling, standing, reaching, walking, and lifting.

Required Skills:
  • Measuring and Layout: Skilled in using measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, and levels, with a strong ability to lay out precise cuts and assemblies.
  • Cutting and Shaping Wood: Ability to use saws (hand saws, circular saws, miter saws) to cut and shape wood precisely.
  • Framing: Experienced in framing walls, floors, and roofs, with a solid understanding of load-bearing structures and proper nailing techniques.
  • Installation of Doors and Windows: Expert in measuring, fitting, and installing doors and windows, including making adjustments and ensuring weatherproofing.
  • Trim and Molding Work: Capable of cutting, fitting, and installing trim, moldings, and other decorative elements with precision.
  • Cabinetry and Shelving: Adept at building and installing cabinets, shelves, and other custom woodwork.
  • Reading Blueprints and Technical Drawings: Competent in interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks (not at a leadership level).
  • Use of Power Tools: Proficient in safely operating power tools such as miter saws, circular saws, drills, sanders, and nail guns.
  • Understanding Building Codes: Knowledgeable about local building codes and regulations to ensure all work meets legal standards.
  • Surface Preparation and Finishing: Skilled in preparing surfaces for painting or staining, including sanding, filling, and applying finishes.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Capable of assessing and performing repairs on existing structures and installations.
