Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Custom Woodworker / Cabinet Maker to join our custom wood shop. The ideal candidate has experience in cabinet making, furniture repair and restoration, woodworking machinery, and CNC machine operation. This position involves building high-quality custom cabinetry, furniture, and architectural woodwork while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Build custom cabinets, furniture, and woodworking projects from drawings and specifications.
  • Operate CNC machinery to cut and machine wood components.
  • Program and adjust CNC equipment as needed (preferred but not a requirement we can train you ).
  • Repair, restore, and refinish furniture and wood products.
  • Read blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.
  • Operate woodworking equipment including table saws, jointers, planers, routers, band saw, sanders, and other shop machinery.
  • Assemble, sand, fit, and finish wood products.
  • Install hardware, drawers, hinges, and specialty components.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with material handling, inventory, and shop organization.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Experience in cabinet making or custom woodworking minimum of 2 years.
  • Experience with furniture repair and restoration preferred.
  • Knowledge of CNC machine operation; programming experience is a plus but not a deal breaker we can train you.
  • Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Skilled in the safe operation of woodworking equipment.
  • Strong measuring, math, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic is an absolute must.
