(CAPS) is a Houston-based, full-service HVAC company specializing in the design, fabrication, installation, and servicing of industrial and commercial air conditioning and heating systems. We are currently seeking a Housekeeping / Maintenance Helper to add to our growing team.

Position Summary & Objective

The Housekeeping / Maintenance Helper is responsible for supporting the cleanliness, organization, and basic upkeep of facilities. This role assists with routine housekeeping tasks and performs general maintenance support to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained work environment for employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces regularly
  • Replenish supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other consumables
  • Dispose of trash and recycling in designated areas
  • Clean windows, glass surfaces, and fixtures as needed
  • Follow established cleaning schedules and safety procedures
  • Assist with basic repairs such as changing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and minor equipment adjustments
  • Support preventive maintenance tasks and inspections
  • Help move furniture, equipment, and materials as needed
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to leadership
  • Perform basic outdoor upkeep (e.g., sweeping walkways, light groundskeeping if applicable)

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ year of housekeeping, janitorial, or maintenance support experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning practices and safety procedures
  • Ability to use common hand tools and cleaning equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working indoors and occasionally outdoors in varying conditions
  • May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and maintenance tools
