Company Description Our Frame & Art Gallery is a locally focused art and framing business dedicated to preserving and showcasing artwork, photographs, and memorabilia. The gallery specializes in custom framing solutions, combining craftsmanship with aesthetic design to meet individual client needs. We work closely with customers to create frames that complement and protect their pieces. The work environment emphasizes attention to detail, quality materials, and personalized service, offering experienced framers the opportunity to practice and refine their craft.

Role Description hours are negotiable, this is an on-site role based in Tomball, TX. The Experienced Custom Art Framer’s responsibilities include measuring and cutting mats and moldings, mounting and securing artwork, and ensuring all finished pieces meet quality standards. The role also involves handling work orders, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, operating framing and woodworking tools safely, and assisting with customer pickups. The framer will work to meet deadlines, support a positive customer experience, and uphold the gallery’s standards of craftsmanship.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Framing and Picture Frame skills, with experience in custom frame design, assembly, and finishing.
  • Candidates should possess Framer and Woodworking skills, including safe use of cutting, measuring, and mounting tools, and familiarity with materials such as wood, mat board, and glass.
  • Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, including clear communication and active listening.
  • Previous experience as a custom framer or in a frame shop, gallery, or related art/craft environment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, accurate measurement skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and handle framed pieces and materials as required by the role.
  • Basic math skills, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
