Job description

Job Opportunity: Structural Design & Fabrication CAD Detailer/Drafter

Our client, located north of Vancouver, Washington, is seeking a highly skilled Structural Design & Fabrication CAD Detailer/Drafter to join their team. This role is instrumental in generating submittal and fabrication drawings for custom projects, including bridges, catwalks, marine gangways, and a variety of steel and aluminum designs.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexible)
  • Onsite in Woodland, WA. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed print sets of pre-designed models in compliance with company standards.
  • Manage revision control for existing drawings.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date file systems.
  • Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Communicate effectively with the team regarding schedules and workloads.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience detailing structural components is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor is preferred; SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software will be considered.
    • Familiarity with AutoCAD is helpful.
    • Knowledge of structural fabrication processes and weld symbols is required.
    • Civil design experience is an advantage.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Adaptability: Capable of multitasking and working under tight deadlines.
  • Independence: Able to work autonomously while quickly adapting to new processes.
  • Background Requirements: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
