Derecktor Shipyards in Dania Beach, FL is seeking an experienced and motivated Boat Builder to join our skilled team. This position is a key role in our busy South Florida yard, which specializes in superyacht repair, refit, and maintenance. The ideal candidate is a highly capable craftsperson with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in delivering top-quality workmanship.

The Boat Builder will work on a wide range of projects, including custom fabrication, composite and wooden repairs, structural modifications, and refits on some of the world's finest yachts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build, install, and repair boat structures, fixtures, and components using wood, composites, and other materials.
  • Perform work on both new construction and refit projects, with a focus on quality and precision.
  • Fabricate and fit custom interior and exterior components.
  • Work from blueprints, drawings, and templates to ensure accuracy in all work performed.
  • Collaborate closely with other trades (fiberglass, mechanical, electrical, paint) to complete projects efficiently.
