This position is for an experienced carpenter who takes pride in high-quality residential construction work. Retherford Custom Homes is not looking for the cheapest or lowest-standard work; we are looking for skilled people who care about craftsmanship and doing the job right.

Key responsibilities:

  • Keep the jobsite clean, organized, and safe
  • Work closely with the Crew Foreman and Site Superintendent
  • Help load, unload, move, and organize materials as needed
  • Identify quality issues and communicate them to field leadership
  • Represent the company professionally on client properties and jobsites
  • Complete carpentry work with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship.
  • Support a jobsite culture where work is done correctly, safely, and to a high standard.

Qualifications:

  • Previous carpentry or residential construction experience a must
  • Knowledge of basic framing, trim, measuring, cutting, and installation techniques
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools safely
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Ability to lift materials and work in active construction environments
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company
  • Strong pride in workmanship and commitment to producing top-quality work.

Pay and benefits:

  • Pay range: $23-$33 per hour, depending on experience and skill level
  • Full-time position
  • Opportunity to grow into Lead Carpenter or Crew Foreman roles
  • Hands-on work on custom residential projects
  • Supportive team environment focused on quality craftsmanship
  • Benefits may include paid time off, performance incentives, tool allowance, and/or additional company benefits depending on final package

Why Retherford Custom Homes:
