NOW HIRING: Automated Machine Operator – 1st Shift

Location: Bloomsburg, PA

Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM - some overtime may be required which may include staying later during the week and occasional weekends

Pay Rate: $18.00-$20.00/hour

Custom Filters Direct is looking for an Automated Machine Operator to operate and monitor our automated Jewett and Pleater machines used to manufacture HVAC air filters. In this role, you'll do more than simply operate equipment—you'll help maximize production by making machine adjustments, troubleshooting minor mechanical issues, performing basic preventative maintenance, and minimizing downtime.

If a machine requires major repairs, our dedicated Maintenance team is there to support you. Your focus is keeping production running safely, efficiently, and consistently throughout the shift.

What You'll Do
  • Operate automated Jewett and Pleater manufacturing equipment
  • Monitor machine performance and production throughout the shift
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime
  • Perform machine adjustments, setups, and product changeovers
  • Complete routine preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
  • Replace wear items and perform basic machine adjustments
  • Communicate major equipment issues to the Maintenance team
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain accurate production records
  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
  • Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures
  • Assist with other production duties as needed

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience operating manufacturing or industrial machinery preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience making machine adjustments or minor repairs
  • Ability to identify equipment issues before they affect production
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic

Physical Requirements
