Are you skilled in providing custodial support?
The Archdiocese of Milwaukee-Seminary- located in St. Francis, WI, has an opening for a custodian.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide room setup and takedown
  • Set up A/V equipment for meetings and events and test equipment
  • Clean meeting rooms before and after meetings
  • Perform miscellaneous cleaning as needed due to spills, weather, etc.
  • Dispose of waste and recycling
  • Assist in maintaining supplies
  • Perform seasonal snow removal and other outside work
  • Clean-up of outside walkway, courtyard, and building upkeep as assigned
  • Assist maintenance staff
  • Provide assistance to office employees and leaders
Skills and Experience:
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to use small hand tools and cleaning supplies
  • Ability to follow sanitation procedures
  • Works well with others
  • Ability to follow instructions with limited supervision and attention to detail
  • Must have a strong work ethic
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Custodial or janitorial experience preferred
Working Environment:
  • Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, lifting, bending, twisting while holding tools or work supplies and equipment
  • Most work is indoors with some work outdoors
  • Some evening and weekend work required

Compensation and Benefits:
The position is a full-time (40 hours per week), salaried position working in-person at the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Pastoral Center. The Archdiocese of Milwaukee provides a full scope of employment benefits, including medical, dental, vision, flextime, Catholic school tuition assistance for children of employees, 403b, and a pension program.
