As a Facilities Custodian, you'll play an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment for our team. This position supports daily operations by ensuring that all production areas, offices, and common spaces are kept in excellent condition. You'll work independently and alongside our team to uphold sanitation standards and contribute to a workplace we're proud of.

What you'll do
  • Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, and common areas
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum and maintain floors in both the office and production areas
  • Maintain cleanliness of all warehouse areas
  • Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility
  • Restock restroom, kitchen, and custodial supplies as needed
  • Clean windows, doors, walls, and other interior surfaces as needed
  • Operate industrial floor cleaners, shop vacuums, pressure washers, and other cleaning equipment
  • Perform seasonal and routine deep-cleaning tasks as needed
  • Complete light maintenance tasks such as painting and simple repairs
  • Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, or damaged equipment to the appropriate personnel
  • Follow all safety protocols and cleaning procedures including proper handling and storage of cleaning supplies
  • Maintain the exterior of the facility, including entrances, sidewalks, smoking areas, and outdoor common spaces to ensure a clean appearance
  • Additional responsibilities, including, but not limited to, other tasks that support the Facilities & Workplace Experience team

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1+ years of janitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment (industrial floor cleaners, pressure washers, shop-vacs, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Willingness to take initiative and help where needed
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills to act as a bridge between team members and departments
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Consistently reliable and punctual
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of custodial experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1 year of experience with industrial cleaning equipment
  • Experience in a fast paced, multi shift, manufacturing environment

Essential Physical Requirements
  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to consistently stand and walk for 8 hour shifts
  • Ability to bend, reach, and work around large industrial equipment
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, climb ladders, and reach overhead

Work Environment
  • Office, manufacturing, and production floor environment
  • Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal materials
  • Use of required protective equipment when on the production floor
  • May involve exposure to heat, noise, and varying temperatures
