Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Clean, restock and maintain orderliness and maintenance of guest rooms. Provide turndown service and ensure proper Housekeeping room status.
oNon-Cleaning Functions: Conduct AM and/or PM physical room checks. Report repair work need in rooms. Report soiled shower curtains, rubber bath mats, irons, ironing board covers that need replacing. Report any special cleaning, i.e. upholstery, carpet or drapery cleaning.
oCleaning Functions: Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and curtain liner, chrome and floor surfaces. Strip and/or check bed linen and remake bed(s). Vacuum entire room and dust all furniture. Empty trash, ashtrays and remove all garbage and debris. Clean bars and refrigerators if present. Remove all soiled linen and terry. Replenish amenities, hangers, tumblers, linens, terry, paper and printed supplies.
Report all maintenance issues.
Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability of simple reading, writing, and complex task completion skills is required.
Must have the following skills: coordination, precision working, following instructions, and memorization.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Previous housekeeping experience is preferred or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, frequently crawling, and occasionally climbing, sitting, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
Must be able to constantly push/pull and lift/carry up to 50lbs or less.
The team member will have constant repetitive use of both feet, both hands, light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.
Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed indoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around electrical devices.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be quiet or loud at times.
Team Member may be exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions, confined areas, vibrations, solvents/oils, fumes/odor, dirt/dust, moving objects, high places, slippery surfaces and/or secondhand smoke.
