Procurement Performance Manager - Location Flexible (Austin, MN; Willmar, MN; or Chicago, IL office) 

 Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Data Analysts who support the One Procurement Team on Data, reporting, and analytics, including but not limited to Sustainability and Supplier Diversity
  • Be a Subject Matter expert on the ERP system, Oracle, and be able to solution challenges within the system
  • Drive implementation of Procurement systems and platforms, including Coupa, Beroe, Expana, TraceGains and others. With a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and visibility
  • Partner with the Information Technology Team to implement automation wherever possible with a focus on Visibility of data in Power BI and like systems. Support the conversion from Tableau to Power BI.
  • Establish Policy and Governance for Hormel from the Procurement lens
  • Manage ongoing education for the One Procurement Team. Assist with curriculum development and maintenance of Procurement University/ Training
  • Support Procurement Shared Services (Business Process Outsourcing Program) operations to optimize processes and complete the Purchasing Center Implementation.
  • Monitor and drive operational performance across the One Procurement team and Plant Purchasing, via reporting and score carding including critical KPIs.
  • Serve as escalation point for complex procurement and system-related issues, coordinating cross-functional resolution across stakeholders and systems
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (plants, corporate procurement teams, accounting, legal) to align services with business needs and enhance user experience

 QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Quality Control or a related field or equivalent experience.(Master's or certifications like CSCP/CPSM preferred)
  • Broad procurement and business knowledge, as demonstrated by previous work in procurement or operations or IT. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or IT Operational Reporting, leading improvements, and leveraging change management skills. (in Food & Beverage, CPG, or Manufacturing preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership and relationship-building skills with ability to both work independently and in cross functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency ERP Systems (Oracle preferred) 
  • Exceptional Excel skills

  • Ability to visualize data leveraging tools such as advanced excel function, Power BI, or Tableau.

Compensation/Benefits:

  • The base pay range for this position $98,100 to $137,340 per year; however, actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills set, level of experience, and specific office location.
