A Brief Overview

What you will do

  • Serves as project manager on mid-size, moderate to complex projects or multiple projects of moderate complexity. Organizes and leads multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure defined project requirements, scope, and deliverables are met within established timeframes and budget.
  • Under the direction of the Director of Strategic Activation lead the execution, and evaluation of systemwide strategic initiatives by partnering with clinical, operational, and technology owners to support implementation of the strategic plan, improve patient experience, promote operational efficiency, and enhance quality.
  • Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor progress, identify and quantify variances, perform required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Functions as an effective team-builder and facilitator. Builds mutual trust and encourages respect and cooperation among team members to facilitate project completion.
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive project documentation, including the project charter, detailed project plan, issue and risk lists, executive dashboards, weekly status reports, and other project artifacts. Maintains comprehensive document archive for each assigned project and ensures all project team members and stakeholders have ready, convenient access to project-related documentation and data.
  • Facilitates project team meetings and is responsible for executive level reporting and presentations on project tracking and analysis.
  • Collects and validates data, produces high-quality qualitative and quantitative assessments to support systemwide initiatives.
  • Deploys a hypothesis-based approach to problem solving to support systemwide strategic and transformation priorities.
  • Always be willing to learn, coachable and willing and able to coach others as needed.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships to support project success and organizational change.


Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Allied Health
  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration/Management

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing

Experience Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year work experience in healthcare strategy and operations, project management, or consulting in healthcare or a related field.

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability in project management as evidenced by experience in supporting large, multi-disciplinary and organizational wide healthcare projects with clear and measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive project results by managing deliverable deadlines, processes, and motivating people (in person and remote) to drive project results.
  • Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor progress, identify and quantify variances, perform required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Excellent data analysis and computer skills in core programs (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, relevant data analyses, and data visualization programs) are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to deploy a hypothesis-based problem-solving approach from problem statement definition to facilitating implementation next steps after the problem-solving process has concluded.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deploy technical expertise in at least one of following focuses is required: service line development, healthcare process improvement, healthcare customer experience, digital and virtual health mergers and acquisitions, or post-merger implementation.
