Doctor of Nursing Practice, Assistant Professor (Onsite)

Position Type: Full-time

Job Description:
  • Teach courses for the Graduate Nursing Program
  • Advise students
  • Participate in accreditation processes
  • Engage in professional scholarship or development
  • Assist in the development of internship relationships and student opportunities
  • Participate in school and college-wide service
Responsibilities:
  • Teach 24 credits per academic year
  • Advise up to 25 students
  • Attend department, school, and college meetings
  • Participate in accreditation processes
  • Engage in professional development, scholarship, research, and/or publishing
  • Assist in curriculum development
  • Participate in department, school, and college service
  • Maintain and post regular office hours
  • Participate in course development and implementation
  • Evaluate teaching/learning activities
  • Participate in governance committees
Requirements:
  • Doctorate in Nursing or related field
  • RN licensure in Massachusetts or eligibility
  • At least one graduate degree in nursing in the area of specialization
  • 3-5 years of experience in the related field of nursing
  • Prior teaching experience in a nursing program desired
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to a diverse student body
  • Commitment to scholarship appropriate to the rank
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
