Job Description

The Curriculum Coordinator, under general supervision, leads the curriculum development and design process for assigned projects. Leads meetings, coordinates the efforts of assigned instructional design personnel, and establishes/monitors timelines and processes.

Salary Information: The expected salary for this position is $55,000.00-$60,000.00 annually.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the development of new programs and ensures alignment with accreditation, Federal, State, and Texas A&M University System requirements.
  • Works with divisions to update existing programs and courses.
  • Takes the lead on notifications of program openings and closings.
  • Tracks program modalities to ensure compliance with State and Federal reporting.
  • Coordinates substantive change documentation and reporting.
  • Supports academic program review.
  • Maintains compliance with reporting guidelines to ensure work assignments are being completed on time.
  • Works with subject matter experts, divisional program staff, and instructional design staff to ensure course materials meet design standards.
  • Serves as administrator for compliance and assessment software.
  • Provides training as needed.
  • Participates in professional development and university-required training.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five (5) years of related experience
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Knowledge of BLOOMS, instructional design models, and adult learning principles
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in relevant field of study
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Experience with educational technology
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal educational policies/standards

Other Requirements

  • Ability to travel and work beyond normal office hours.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
