Reporting to the Workshare Manager, this position is responsible for performing thorough examinations of land records, assessment records and tax certificates to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the title products. This identifies and assists in the resolution of title deficiencies to support the issuance of title commitments that meet marketability standards.
This role prepares documents, inputs data and closely collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve title issues promptly. Additionally, this position actively communicates with closers and clients to address outstanding title items, ensuring timely and compliant transactions.
Qualifications Include:
  • High school diploma or GED Required
  • 1+ years' experience in title research, title examination or a related field
  • Ability to interpret title commitments across various jurisdictions
  • Knowledge of the title curative process for resolving outstanding title issues
  • Familiarity with title documents, including deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, assignments, powers of attorney and affidavits
  • Basic understanding of foreclosure processes, including short sales, deeds in lieu and judicial and non-judicial foreclosures
  • Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute with high accuracy
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Good judgement with the ability to evaluate and make decisions

Compensation
  • The hourly range for this position is between $19.00 -$21.00 hourly
