Job Summary 
The Foreman is responsible for performing a wide range of turf and landscape maintenance activities to ensure the golf course is kept in excellent condition. This hands-on role involves operating equipment, assisting with irrigation management, maintaining course aesthetics, and supporting the day-to-day maintenance needs of the club. 
Reporting Structure 
    •     Reports to the Equipment Manger  
Day to Day
•    Operate mowers, aerators, sprayers, and other powered equipment for mowing greens, fairways, tees, and roughs. 
•    Assist in applying fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides according to safety guidelines. 
•    Perform routine irrigation tasks, including adjusting sprinklers and repairing broken lines. 
•    Monitor turf and landscape areas for signs of pests, diseases, or other issues, reporting concerns to the Superintendent. 
•    Trim and prune trees, shrubs, and other vegetation around the course and clubhouse. 
•    Plant, water, fertilize, and maintain flowerbeds, sod, and other landscape features. 
•    Assist in soil preparation, sod laying, and planting new vegetation. 
•    Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of grounds keeping equipment after each use. 
•    Report any equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to the supervisor. 
•    Maintain all areas of the golf course, including pathways, bunkers, and water hazards, to ensure they are free of debris and hazards. 
•    Follow all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all team members. 
•    Assist with the setup and maintenance of the new course features as directed. 
•    Work closely with other maintenance team members to complete daily tasks. 
Additional Duties 
•    Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.   
•    Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.  
•    Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff. 
•    Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same. 
•    Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role. 
•    Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations. 
•    Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team’s success. 
About You
Required 
•    High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.  
Preferred 
•    A minimum of 2 years of experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, or grounds keeping. 
•    Knowledge in tur management, equipment operation, and landscape maintenance.  
Physical Requirements 
•    Primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and humidity. 
•    Sitting, standing, walking, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs., talking, hearing, and seeing. 
Primary Tools/Equipment 
•    Construction tools (shovels, axes, sledgehammers, etc.) 
•    Gardening tools (pruners, rakes, hedge shears, trimmers, etc.) 
•    Blowers 
•    Grass Mowers 
•    Tractors 
•    Cup Cutter 
Work Schedule 
•    Attendance requirements for this position as outlined on the weekly schedule.   
•    Additional hours are required to meet deadlines of the position, including weekends and/or holidays.
