Job description

We are looking for a talented Production Associate - Level I - to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility Rocky Mount, NC 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position

Core Responsibilities / Activities:

  • Safely operate stand-up Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) equipment to transport materials throughout the facility, ensuring timely delivery to production lines and designated storage areas.
  • Perform daily pre-use inspections on PIV equipment and report any mechanical or safety concerns immediately to supervision or maintenance.
  • Support material flow operations by staging, loading, and unloading parts while maintaining accurate inventory locations and minimizing line downtime.

Required Skills, Education, or Experience:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain certification to operate stand-up PIV equipment in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse and manufacturing operations, including material flow and inventory control.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow standard work, safety procedures, and work instructions.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Prior experience operating stand-up forklifts or other PIV equipment in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems (e.g., RF scanners, warehouse management systems, or Oracle transactions).
