About the Role:

Join our Mental Health Support team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people on their recovery journey. Working alongside experienced clinicians, you'll provide practical, non-clinical psychosocial support that helps consumers achieve their personal goals, build independence and strengthen their wellbeing. With opportunities to work across community, acute and rehabilitation settings, this rewarding role offers the chance to be a valued part of an integrated, recovery-focused team supporting consumers and the local community.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with consumers, families, carers and colleagues.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, non-judgemental and culturally appropriate support to people experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and engage effectively with community and health services.
  • Reliable, organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage priorities, work under direction and respond appropriately to stressful situations.
  • Understanding of mental health, recovery, confidentiality, workplace safety and the needs of Aboriginal and multicultural communities.

Desired Criteria 

  • Certificate III or above in Mental Health Work, or currently studying a relevant health/clinical degree, with a willingness to undertake further training.
  • Experience providing individual or group support in health/community settings, with the ability to support people through recovery and resolve challenges professionally.
  • Knowledge of recovery-oriented mental health practices, consumer rights, relevant legislation and local community services.
