Up to $44-50/hour | Cullman, AL | Full-Time Hours | 2026-2027 School Year | Full-time contract position where you will help students develop the communication skills needed to achieve their maximum academic and social potential.

About the Role
Hello, Speech Language Pathologists! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Speech Language Pathologist for a caseload within Cullman City School District. In this role, you'll play a critical part in student success by evaluating and diagnosing speech and language disorders, developing individualized therapy plans, collaborating with educators and families, supporting classroom carryover of communication skills, maintaining student records, and helping students reach their maximum academic and social potential.

What You'll Do
  • Conducts evaluation of students with communicative disorders.
  • Evaluates and diagnoses speech and language disorders.
  • Develops and implements individualized education plans to meet the unique needs of each student receiving therapy service.
  • Develops appropriate service delivery models to meet the needs of students.
  • Refers students to other professional and community agencies.
  • Consults with classroom teachers and other school personnel to facilitate carry-over therapy gains into classroom activity.
  • Provides information, support, and guidance to parents/guardians and families.
  • Assists teachers in the identification of children with communicative disorders.
  • Maintains records for students evaluated and receiving services.
  • Informs administrators and other members of the educational team of program developments and student progress.
  • Engages in personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics and Leadership.
  • Coordinates services with other school programs.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication.
  • Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policy, and state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
  • Active (or eligible) Alabama State SLP license
  • Alabama Professional Educator Certificate with endorsement in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • School-based experience preferred, not required
