Culinary Supervisor

$23-28/hr based on experience

What You Will Do:
  • The Culinary Supervisor will support the Culinary Manager & Assistant Manager in the overall culinary operations ensuring quality and standards are adhered to.  
  • Full understanding and knowledge of the Erewhon brand and overall Café menu. 
  • Vast knowledge in all menu items, recipes and methods of production for items provided by the Erewhon Cafe, in compliance with quality standards and portions.  
  • Works closely with Culinary Assistant Manager & Manager on a daily basis on daily requirements and par levels. 
  • Monitors and tests food being cooked and prepared to ensure the highest level of quality and presentation based on company standards. 
  • Completes end of day inventory and other opening/closing duties in accordance with company checklists and procedures.
  • Maintains freshness and quality of all menu items and packages all products to proper specifications coming from Commissary.   
  • Ensures proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly.
  • Assists in training and coaching line and prep cooks throughout daily operations.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
What You Will Bring:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of culinary/kitchen experience as a line cook covering advanced knife skills, frying, grilling, etc. 
  • Ability to clearly communicate with team members and work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. 
  • Must be flexible to work nights and weekends based on business needs. 
  • Food Handler Certification (Basic Food Safety) required.
