Job Summary:
CT Mechanical is seeking a Commercial Journeyman Plumber to join our team. In this position, you will install new plumbing systems, bring existing systems into compliance with current code requirements, and alter/install plumbing systems in medium and large facilities. You will work with Foremen and Superintendents to understand jobsite-specific requirements and complete project goals safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- See projects through all stages of construction from rough-in/safe-off to commissioning
- Work as part of a team to layout and complete daily, weekly, and monthly project goals
- Communicate with Foremen and Superintendents efficiently to understand jobsite-specific requirements for plumbing installation
- Install new plumbing systems in a manner that reflects pride in craftsmanship and respect for the trade
- Assist foremen and supers in training and guiding the next generation of Apprentices
- Assist in material procurement, laydown, and waste cutting measures
- Perform work both safely and efficiently
Role Requirements:
- OSHA 10 amp; 30 preferred (you can get these certifications with us, paid on the clock)
- Journeymanโ€™s license required for position; Florida-issued Journeyman License preferred
- 5+ yearsโ€™ experience in commercial plumbing preferred
- Successful completion of formal training program or apprenticeship (bonus)
- Familiarity with Florida Plumbing Code
- Familiarity with UF plumbing specifications (bonus)
- Current NFPA 99 certification (can be obtained with us, paid on the clock)
- Familiarity with relevant techniques and tools needed to perform duties (material handling, hand and power tools, jobsite safety)
- Familiarity with plan reading, scaling, and layout
- Flexibility to operate independently or as part of a large team
- Time management skills and understanding of order of operations on a job site
- OT available for weekends, shutdowns, and over-mobilization for multiple projects
