What does a CT technologist PRN do?

A CT Technologist PRN (as needed) is a healthcare professional who operates computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce diagnostic images of a patient's internal structures. They work on an as-needed or per diem basis, filling in during staff shortages or peak times. Their duties include preparing patients for scans, ensuring safety protocols are followed, maintaining equipment, and assisting radiologists with image interpretation. CT Technologist PRNs must have technical expertise, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. They play a critical role in helping physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions.

Where do CT technologists get paid the most?

CT technologists tend to earn higher salaries in regions with a higher cost of living and greater demand for healthcare services, such as metropolitan areas or states with advanced medical facilities.
